Chi Gong

Chi Gong, the excerise that promotes a balance of energy within each of us

“Chi” is the life force energy that exists in nature and in the universe that keeps everything living and functioning as it should. “Gong” is an exercise or technique. Therefore, Chi Gong is a technique that makes the energy within the universe function and balance properly within the human body.

Chi Gong exercises promotes a balance of the yin and yang energies that exist in the human body. Yin and yang energy that is in harmony, allows the body to remain healthy; a lack of balance allows the body to succumb to sickness. Chi Gong exercises stimulate the balance of both energies in the human body, which promotes greater wellness and longevity.

The difference between "Internal" and "External" Chi Gong

Chi Gong is broken down into two types: the internal and the external.

Internal Chi Gong

It uses exercises that relax the body, allowing the internal “chi” energy to flow freely throughout the bodies acupuncture meridians, stimulating the internal organs and relieving blockages.

External Chi Gong

It uses exercises that increases the bodies “chi” energy through the external use of body movement. The external tightening of muscles, for the purpose of stretching and strengthening the bodies’ ligaments and tendons, allow the body to have better balance, coordination, and strength for the release of this energy in a strike; releasing this energy from internal to external. One can also extend this energy from their body into and through a weapon.

Chi Gong, both internal and external, raise the bodies “chi” energy in natural, but different mediums and promote an increase in health and longevity for the body and the mind.
